Quinoa & chia seed brittle

If you are tired of using quinoa in salads , try using it in a sweet recipe! Make a quinoa brittle!

Enjoy as is or break it into small pieces in your yogurt.



What you will need:

  • 1/2 cup quinoa (raw / uncooked)
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil

Preheat the oven at 160ºC

  1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients except honey and olive oil
  2. Heat the honey & olive oil together in the microwave or in a saucepan and mix them with the rest of the ingredients
  3. On a baking sheet with non-stick paper, pour the mixture in a relatively thin layer in the center of the pan. The mixture will melt and spread!
  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes in the oven.
  5. Allow the brittle to cool well and cut into pieces. Otherwise, after it cools down a bit, make cuts with a knife and when it is fully cool cut it in pieces.
